Shabnam is a UKCP-registered Psychotherapist. She has trained in Transactional Analysis which has its roots in Psychodynamic and Humanistic psychotherapy, and share similarities with Schema therapy. Transactional Analysis (TA) examines an individual's personality and how this has been shaped by experiences. This means she can help clients to understand the root of their issues and therefore make lasting changes. Shabnam incorporates various models, techniques, and tools to teach clients how to become aware of their patterns of behaviour, thoughts, and feelings. She helps clients to become aware of how they communicate with others resulting in resolving conflict and misunderstandings. She also helps her clients to set boundaries that promote living authentically, build their self-esteem, avoid burnout, and help them to become clear about their values and belief systems.
Shabnam has worked with clients presenting with complex issues such as BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Autism, Bereavement, and Loss.
