If you suspect you may have ADHD, a professional assessment is an important first step towards understanding your experiences and accessing the proper support. At The London Practice, we offer comprehensive, evidence-based ADHD assessments for adults.
Our approach is warm, thorough and clinically robust, helping you gain clarity and develop a plan that supports your wellbeing. All assessments follow the highest clinical and ethical standards, fully aligned with NICE guidelines and the Adult ADHD Assessment Quality Assurance Standard (AQAS).
What’s Included
Our ADHD assessment package includes:
• A comprehensive diagnostic interview exploring your current challenges, childhood and neurodevelopmental history, and how symptoms affect your daily life.
• Standardised ADHD rating scales completed by you and (where possible) someone who knew you in childhood.
• Consideration of alternative or co-occurring conditions (e.g., anxiety or depression).
• A detailed written diagnostic report, suitable for sharing with your GP, workplace or other professionals.
• Personalised recommendations for next steps, such as therapeutic support, coaching, workplace adjustments, or referral for medication.
Medication
We cannot prescribe ADHD medication.
However, suppose your assessment indicates that medication could be helpful. In that case, we can refer you to a trusted prescribing psychiatrist who can discuss treatment options and, if suitable, begin a medication titration plan.
How the Assessment Works
The assessment takes place over two separate appointments:
1. Initial Diagnostic Assessment (up to 1.5 hours) - A detailed clinical interview and symptom exploration.
2. Feedback & Recommendations Session (30 minutes) - A follow-up appointment to review your results, discuss your diagnosis, and outline next steps.
