Fiona Kau

Fiona is a BACP registered psychotherapist with experience working both in the UK and abroad. She is a passionate and skilful psychotherapist trained in psychotherapy for individual adults, adolescents, and children, as well as couples and families. She has worked in the private and public sector in the UK and Mauritius and with clients from different cultural backgrounds presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, personality disorders, relationship issues and many more.

Fiona believes in a pluralistic approach to psychotherapy, meaning she will make use of different psychological modalities to ensure she tailors her approach to your needs. Her goal is to work collaboratively within the therapeutic space so you can openly explore your experiences and gain a better understanding of yourself. She places particular emphasis on the client-therapist relationship, aiming to provide a trusting, empathetic and non-judgemental space. Fiona is experienced in relational psychoanalysis, existential therapy, person-centred therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy. She offers therapy in English, German and French. Fiona has previously worked in managerial positions both in the hospitality and mental health sector and consulted at an international school as school psychologist. She is currently completing her professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Regent’s University London. Her research has focused on depression and trauma.
